Away on a holiday

I will be away on a holiday starting tomorrow. I will not be able to update this blog for a while. The blog will be updated once I come home from my holiday. See you soon.

Three birds on a tree.

     Today something interesting happened in our garden. Two birds were chirping loudly while we were weeding under a tree. We thought that the birds were just happy to see us.

    Suddenly Nurul was screaming and running towards us, while pointing at a rose bush. Something was moving in there. We all thought it was a snake and stay away. Mr. Adli went closer to take a look anyway. 

     A few minutes later, he rose from the bush smiling. He was holding a nestling in his handkerchief. It must have fallen from its nest. The adult birds began chirping even louder now. We realised that the bird on the tree are worried about their baby. We knew taht we cannot just leave the nestling alone. So Mr. Adli climbed up a ladder and puts the nestling back into its nest. 

    Immediately the adult birds came back to the nest to comfort their nestling. The adult birds gave Mr. Adli a leaf from the top of the tree as a token of gratitude. It was a very touching moment. It was a new and exciting experience for all three of us.

Planting a Flower

Today we are going to learn how plant a flower. With these simple steps, we will be able to plant beautiful flowers in our garden.

The steps are:

1. Prepare the soil where you want to plant the flowers.
2. Mix fertiliser into the soil.
3. With a trowel or even your hands, dig a hole in the prepared soil.
4. Gently remove the plant from its container.
5. Gently loosen the roots on the outside edge of the root ball.
6. Place the plant in the hole.
7. Cover the hole with some soil.
